In September 2023, FEPPS held a graduation ceremony at Washington Corrections Center for Women, honoring four years of graduates at the prison - the first time since before COVID that their friends and loved ones from outside could attend. Hear from some of the graduates about the power, confidence and hope that comes from a college education.

In 2017 and 2018, FEPPS collaborated with local filmmakers to produce videos documenting the two primary parts of our work - the college program at WCCW and the Pathways re-entry program.

In this film, three FEPPS students talk about their educational journeys, goals, and experiences with FEPPS.

In this film, FEPPS students who have left prison and gone on to pursue further education talk about the impact of having access to college courses while incarcerated and what their futures’ hold.

Both videos produced by Greg Westoff with Tenakee Films.

“It doesn’t matter how much you know, how old or young you are, it matters that you try. It’s never too late to invest in yourself and your future.”
